Offered here are six game used bats from members of the Houston Astros during the 1960’s and 1970s. The first bat is a Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat used by Luis Pujols during the 1978 and 1979 seasons. This bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the front barrel. Pujols’ number “8” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18944) for the game use. The next bat was used by Cliff Johnson during the 1977 season. Johnson’s Hillerich & Bradsby K75 model bat displays heavy game use with a crack on the handle. There is checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact present on the back barrel. “6” and “game” are handwritten in black marker on the knob. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18945) for the game use. The next bat was used by Tommy Helms during the 1973-75 seasons. This Louisville Slugger W248 model bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. Helms’ number “19” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18946) for the game use.

The next bat is a Louisville Slugger W215 model bat used by Jim Gentile during the 1965-66 seasons. This bat displays solid game use with some slight water damage on the left barrel and is un-cracked. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18947) for the game use. The next bat is a Lee Maye Louisville Slugger 168 model bat used during the 1970-71 seasons. This bat displays heavy game use with a crack on the handle. There is heavy scoring on the left and right barrel and “TOBY” is handwritten in black marker on the front barrel. Maye’s number “11” is handwritten in black marker on the knob. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18948) for the game use. The final bat is a Louisville Slugger D113L model bat used by Jimmy Beauchamp during the 1970 and 1971 seasons. This bat displays moderate game use and is un-cracked. Beauchamp’s number “16” is handwritten on the knob in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18949) for the game use.
