After many years as a combat aviator in the Marines (where he was Ted Williams' wingman in Korea) John Glenn entered the fledgeling U.S. Space Program and became one of the first astronauts. Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth in 1962 and later represented Ohio as a U.S. Senator. For decades Glen was the face of NASA and the very ideal of what a space explorer should be. Each of the 6 color photos are signed by the Friendship 7 astronaut in strong black Sharpie. PSA/DNA has affixed their sticker to the bottom right corner of each individual photo. COA's from PSA/DNA.
