Not since Dwight Gooden and Tom Seaver before him, has a New York Mets pitching phenomena created as much of an immediate impact as current Mets’ right-hander Matt Harvey. In his seventh start of the 2013 season and just the 17th of his career, Harvey pitched nine shutout innings with a career-high 12 strikeouts and no walks, surrendering just one-hit while earning a no-decision in a game eventually won 1-0 by the Mets in 10 innings on May 7, 2013. This classic Mets white pin-striped, size-48 home jersey, MLB Authentic # EK490522, was worn by Harvey that day, containing what appear to be blood stains on the front neckline and right shoulder (perhaps he cut himself shaving before the game), and some dirt or pine-tar markings on the lower right-side back of the jersey below Harvey’s name and number 33. A regal looking All-Star Game 2013 patch incorporating the Mets N.Y. City skyline logo is affixed to the left sleeve; comes with Mets Amazin’ Memorabilia COA.
