Created for Nike by noted sneaker designer Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan XI is Hatfield’s favorite design in the Air Jordan line. Hatfield designed the sneaker when Jordan played for the Minor League Baseball Birmingham Barons and hoped Jordan would return to basketball. Jordan enthusiastically wore the sneaker upon returning to the court and wore the sneaker during the 1995-1996 season where the Bulls won the NBA title. The Air Jordan XI is the most popular sneaker in the Jordan line, with retro versions released every December, selling out in minutes.

Presented here are a pair of Nike Air Jordan XI sneakers signed by the six-time NBA champion and six-time Finals MVP Michael Jordan. The low-top sneakers feature a red, black, and silver colorway with elephant print trim feature a white mudguard and a translucent outsole. A size “13” manufacturing tag featuring the Nike “JUMPMAN” logo is affixed to the inside tongue of each sneaker. A red embroidered “JUMPMAN” logo appears on the black tongue of each sneaker. Jordan signed the toecap on the left sneaker with a silver metallic paint pen. The sneakers are in pristine condition and the signature is bold. The sneakers come with a 14 x 9-inch orange box that is adorned with the Nike “Swoosh” symbol in white on the top and sides. The signed pair of Air Jordan XI retro sneakers come with a COA from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAM09612).
