Nike changed the sneaker game forever when it released the original Air Jordan sneakers in 1984. The original Air Jordan’s were designed specifically for Hall of Fame and six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan in 1984 and released to the public on April 1, 1985 and were an immediate success that spawned countless versions of the classic sneaker over the past 36 years.

Presented here are a pair of Nike Air Jordan V sneakers signed by the six-time NBA champion, six-time Finals MVP, and 10-time NBA Scoring Champion. The Air Jordan V sneakers were released in 1990 and were designed by Tinker Hatfield who was one of the designers who created the first version of the Air Jordan sneaker in 1984. The black suede size 13 high top sneakers feature a purple and teal “JUMPMAN” logo located on the purple tongue. There are teal lace toggles attached to the black laces of the sneaker. Inspired by WWII fighter planes, Hatfield designed a shark-tooth pattern on the sneaker’s midsole for the shark-teeth pattern on the sneaker’s midsole. The translucent rubber soles feature an air vent that is encased in clear plastic on the outstep and instep of the sneaker. The sneakers come in their original black box and feature some evidence of use, with markings on the toecap and midsole. Jordan signed his name on the toecap of the right sneaker with a silver metallic paint pen. The signed Air Jordan V sneakers come with a COA from Upper Deck Authentication (UAS 06150).
