Presented is a Michael Jordan signature and inscription on a 1992 Summer Olympics leather jacket that once hung in a Chapel Hill, North Carolina restaurant. The two-time Basketball Hall of Famer has signed his name in black marker on the white leather over the back-left shoulder, and inscribed “1992 Summer Olympics” on the back-right shoulder. The back of the black leather jacket features a red, white and blue reproduction of the American flag. The right and left sleeves are white leather with navy-blue leather letters spelling “USA” down the sleeves, which end with red and white stripes. The zippered front of the jacket features red on black, with navy-blue pocket accents. The sleeve cuff and jacket bottom are navy-blue elastic ribbed cloth. The size 44-Michael Hoban North Beach jacket was on display in a Chapel Hill restaurant near the University of North Carolina campus. Jordan was a key member of the 1992 United States men's Olympic basketball team, nicknamed the "Dream Team", which was the first American Olympic team to feature active professional players from the National Basketball Association. The team has been described by American and international journalists as the greatest sports team ever assembled. The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame called the team "the greatest collection of basketball talent on the planet". This item comes with a LOA from JSA. ALso included in the lot is a large photograph that has been signed by Dean Smith that also hung in the restaurant in Chapel Hill.

Please note that this lot has a 25% Buyer’s Premium (28% if payment is made using a credit card and/or is not paid within 10 days of invoice). Goldin Auctions will be donating 5% of the winning bid price to The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
