United States icon Michelle Akers wore this gray Nike jacket during her 15-season USWNT career. An All-American at UCF, Akers led the USWNT to a pair of FIFA Women’s World Cup titles in 1991 and 1999, as well as Olympic gold at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics. Akers retired from USWNT duty in 2000, and later in the year was named the FIFA Woman Co-Player of the Century. With over 150 caps and 100 goals for the Stars and Stripes, Akers is a bonafide United States sporting legend.
This offered Nike jacket is a gray zip-up with long-sleeves. A United States Soccer logo is sewn on the left chest and a blue Nike swoosh is sewn on the right. A Nike size “L” tag and a washing instructions tag are sewn on the back inside collar. Akers’ number “10” is hand-written in black marker on the washing instructions tag. Akers has signed the chest of this jersey in black marker, inscribing “#10 USA” in addition to her signature. This jacket comes with a LOA from Michelle Akers. A portion of the proceeds shall benefit the Michelle Akers Horse Rescue & Outreach Inc.
