One of just 16 Triple Crown winners in Major League Baseball history, New York Yankees Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle posted a remarkable 1956 season with a .353 batting average, 52 home runs and 130 RBIs. Noted sports artist Wayne Prokopiak captured Mantle’s historic feat in this 22 ¼x35 ¾-inch lithograph from 1991 depicting “The Mick” wearing a crown at Yankee Stadium and holding three baseball bats with the numbers “353,” “52” and “130” to note each statistic from the elusive achievement. Mantle signed the lithograph beautifully in bold, black sharpie along his right shoulder with the inscription “1956.” Prokopiak also signed and numbered (2/535) the lithograph in bold, black sharpie in the bottom right corner. The signed lithograph comes with a JSA LOA.
