The sky was the limit for the “The Commerce Comet” when Mickey Mantle posed for this photograph during his sophomore season with the Yankees. There is a look of innocence and wonder in Mantle’s face and a 50th anniversary of the Yankees patch on his sleeve in this 16” x 20” photo in a 22” x 26”frame with a custom matte that includes a cut-out of Mantle’s number 7 in the upper left-hand corner and a metal plate with black engraving reading: “Mickey Mantle ‘The Mick’ HOF-1974. Signed in crisp blue sharpie, Mantle added a “1952” inscription to signify the year the photo was taken. Comes with JSA LOA and sticker # B67330.
