Offered here is an official Bobby Brown American League baseball signed and inscribed by Mickey Mantle. One of the greatest offensive center fielders of all-time, Mantle clubbed 536 home runs as a switch hitter. Not only a power threat, Mantle is alleged to have been timed at 3.1 seconds running from home to first, possibly the fastest such time in the history of the sport. Mantle hit hard and lived harder, Mantle is the only player to have hit a ball off the third deck façade at Yankee Stadium. A seven time World Series champion, Mantle is universally beloved in the baseball world.
Mantle signed this ball in black ballpoint pen on the sweet spot. Under his name he inscribed his nickname “The Mick.” This ball features several signs of age, notably some brown spots on the ball, but does not impact the signature or inscription and bears the stamped signature of American League President Bobby Brown.
