“The Mick” and “The Say Hey Kid,” two of the best to ever roam a Major League Baseball outfield, united here in a signed 11x14-inch, black-and-white photograph. Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays dominated the sport, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s, when the Hall of Fame duo combined to win five MVP awards. That’s the subject matter of this photograph, which shows Mantle in his Yankees uniform and Mays in his Giants uniform, with both in their batting stance. Mantle and Mays each signed the photograph in bold, black sharpie - Mantle with the inscription “MVP ’56 ’57 ‘62” and Mays with the notation “MVP 54 65.” Both signatures are graded 9 by PSA/DNA, which provided an LOA for the signed photograph, certification number “Q99292.”
