Hall of Famer Sparky Anderson was the manager of what was arguably some the greatest teams ever assemble – the Cincinnati Reds “Big Red Machine”. Anderson led the mighty Reds to four National League pennants, two World Series titles and three 100+ win teams during his tenure as Reds’ manager from 1970-1978. Anderson wore this size 6 7/8 KM Pro Cincinnati Reds cap during the height of “The Big Red Machine” in the mid-1970s. Displaying moderate to heavy game use, this all-red cap has the wishbone “C” embroidered on the front of the hat, which was originally white and now displays an off-white color. There are sweat and dirt stains throughout this cap as is prevalent on the inner white sweat band and green underside brim. Anderson’s number “10” is hand written in faded ink on the green underside brim, along with “ANDERSON” hand written as well. Anderson signed his name in blue marker between his hand written number “10” and “ANDERSON” on the underside of the brim. This hat comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (AB73597) for the signature and a full LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema for the game use.
