Angels center fielder Mike Trout was named American League Rookie of the Year in 2012, but he actually got his feet wet in 2011 when he played in 40 games for Anaheim. On July 17, 2011 Trout took the field in only his sixth big league game wearing this classic 1980’s throwback jersey. “Angels” is arched across the chest in red and navy tackle twill and Trout’s “27” is placed below, on the lower right side. Majestic label is sewn to the lower right front tail with size “48” tagging. MLB hologram sticker number FJ 491733 has been affixed to the label. The 1980’s halo and map of California patch that all Angels fans fondly remember is sewn to the left sleeve. Angels 50th Anniversary patch is sewn to the right sleeve. The back features “TROUT” and his number “27” sewn directly to the jersey in red and navy tackle twill. The jersey shows moderate game use and is a one-of-kind piece from one of MLB’s most promising young players.
