Presented is a Mobb Deep dual-signed “My Infamous Life The Autobiography of Mobb Deep’s Prodigy” first edition hardcover autobiography, signed by both Prodigy and Havoc. Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo from Queens, New York. The duo consisted of rappers Havoc and Prodigy. They are considered to be among the main progenitors of hardcore East Coast hip hop and hip hop in the mid-1990s. The duo signed the interior flyleaf page of the 2011 Touchstone/Simon & Schuster memoir. Prodigy signed in black marker at the top, the inscription “Mobb Deep” in black marker is at the center, and Havoc signed in silver marker in the lower center. The color photograph on the front cover jacket depicts Prodigy in black “New York Giants” cap against a black background wearing a black shirt, watches and rings along with a silver and gold cross necklace enhancing the rapper’s image. Prodigy, born Albert Johnson on November 2, 1974, died on June 20, 2017 from complications of Sickle-Cell Anemia. The hip hop duo he co-founded, Mobb Deep, became one of the most successful rap duos in hip hop, having sold over 3 million records. Three of their most notable albums were “The Infamous” (1995), “Hell On Earth” (1996) and “Murda Muzik” (1999), and their top hits include "Shook Ones (Pt. II)”, "Survival Of The Fittest" and "Hell On Earth". They were known for their dark and hardcore delivery as exemplified on the track "Shook Ones (Part II)." The duo disbanded in 2012 but reunited in 2013. Havoc is currently working on a new Mobb Deep album. This comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
