New York Mets World Series hero Mookie Wilson wore this blue satin Starter jacket during his time in Queens. It was Wilson whose ground ball in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series rolled through Red Sox first baseman Bill Buckner’s legs, allowing Ray Knight to score and sending the Fall Classic to a deciding Game 7. This blue jacket has the Mets logo rendered in orange chenille stitching over blue tackle twill sewn on the left chest. A Mets skyline logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve, and “WILSON” is sewn across the back shoulders in orange and white lettering. Wilson’s number “1” is sewn on the right sleeve in orange and white. Wilson has signed the back of the jacket in silver marker. A Starter size “L” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. This item comes with a LOA from JSA for the signature and a LOA from game use expert Dave Miedema.
