Neil Leifer’s photograph of Muhammad Ali standing over the toppled Sonny Liston remains one of the most iconic sports images of the 20th century. In the first round of this 1965 title fight Ali floored Liston with a punch so fast Ali himself did not know if it landed. This bout cemented Ali’s reputation as America’s preeminent heavyweight pugilist. This color photograph shows Ali standing over Liston, taunting his fallen foe. This 16 x 20 inch photograph is in vivid color, and features Ali’s signature in silver marker. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (5A02572).
