Payne Stewart has placed a very strong, black marker signature on this bright and clean "PGA Tour" pin flag, which has been attractively framed. Throughout his career, Stewart (1957-99) was a colorful yet serious golfer. His favorite clothing ensembles were inspired by the NFL, and regularly wore a franchise's "team colors" on the links. During his final year on the tour, Stewart was playing his best golf, literally saving his best for last. Three months before meeting his untimely death in a plane crash, he won the US Open Championship at Pinehurst. For Stewart, it was his second major win, and his most important victory on the tour.
