Aside from being a great player, Harold “Pee Wee” Reese will also be remembered for being one of the few players to accept Jackie Robinson into the fold. Refusing to sign the petition to boycott Robinson, Reese famously answered a reporter’s question regarding the possibility of Robinson taking his position by stating “If he can take my job, he’s entitled to it”. Reese was also quoted as saying “You can hate a man for many reasons. Color is not one of them.”

     Offered is this Official National League A. Bartlett Giamatti baseball signed and inscribed by the diminutive Hall of Famer Pee Wee Reese. Reese inscribed “Best always” across the sweet spot and signed his name to the right of the inscription on the side panel. Both Reese’s signature and inscription are in blue pen. The ball is a creamy white color and the signature and inscription are clear. This signed baseball comes with a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (G35990).
