The number 23 has always been associated with basketball legend and Hall of Famer Michael Jordan. To some extent, so has the number 45, when Jordan played minor league baseball for the Birmingham Barons in the Chicago White Sox system and when he made his triumphant return to the Windy City in 1994. However, there was one instant where Jordan did not wear his famed number 23 or even his fill-in number 45 while with the Chicago Bulls. That occasion came in February 14, 1990 when the Bulls visited the Orlando Magic. Jordan’s game jersey had been lost or stolen and the Bulls did not have a backup jersey. So, in a pinch, Jordan donned the number “12” jersey with no name on the back for one evening. In typical Jordan fashion, his Airness scored a game-high 49 points in leading the Bulls to a 135-129 victory. Offered here is a Hardwood Classics road Chicago Bulls jersey with the lone number “12” on the back that has been signed by Michael Jordan. Jordan signed his name in silver marker diagonally on the “2” on the front. This jersey was made by Mitchell & Ness and is a red mesh with all of the numbers and letters sewn on in black and white tackle twill. This rare jersey comes with a STICKER ONLY from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAM97477) for Jordan’s signature.
