Presented here is an Official National League William D. White baseball signed by legendary baseball announced Red Barber. Barber was involved in many of the most important baseball moments of the 20th century, calling the first ever televised game in 1939 and announcing games for the Brooklyn Dodgers during Jackie Robinson’s debut season. Barber was peerless as an announcer, and as an executive for CBS Sports hired a young Vin Scully to call college football games in the late 1940’s. Barber has signed this ball in black pen, placing his signature on the panel to the south of the sweet spot. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from JSA (C23148).
