Presented here is a seatback from Yankee Stadium signed by “Mr. October” Reggie Jackson. Jackson, a home run hitting outfielder, made his name with the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees. He finished his career with 563 home runs, but is most well known for the 10 he hit in the World Series, earning him the “Mr. October” moniker. Jackson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993, his first year of eligibility.

     This blue Yankee Stadium seatback is 15 x 19 inches at its widest, and features wear consistent with its age and status. Jackson signed the middle of the three sections of the seatback, adding his number “44.” This signature is written in black Sharpie.
