This AROC (Artist Re-creation on Canvas) is a giclee that has been enhanced by artist Bill Lopa, adding paint to make each piece unique. Lopa is a die-hard Yankees fan and chose to concentrate his art on the sports figures he loved in a style he made his own: kinetic impressionism. Working in acrylics, Lopa uses a "splatter" technique where the colors are applied with a pallet knife. The use of bold colors and technique perfectly captures Yankees star Reggie Jackson. Executed in cool blue hues with frames of Jackson's trademark tinted glasses being in a contrasting gold, Lopa has totally captured Reggie's look of determination and confidence. Besides the artist's signature in blue on the bottom right corner, the subject himself has signed in wonderful contrasting silver ink, adding his number "44" and his famous nickname "Mr. October". The giclee is marked 17/44 and measures 25" x 32" and is unframed. PSA/DNA sticker V73107 is affixed to the lower left corner.
