One of the smoothest hitters ever to step to the plate and swing, Rod Carew began his career in 1967 with the Minnesota Twins, winning the AL Rookie of the Year Award. He followed this feat with seven AL batting titles, an AL MVP, and 18 All-Star appearances. A member of the "3,000-hit Club and lifetime .328 hitter, Carew was a first-ballot Hall of Fame selection in 1991. The barrel of this pristine 35-inch, Model 125 Louisville Slugger has been engraved with "GENUINE C243/Rod Carew/LOUISVILLE SLUGGER." Carew boldly signed his name in vivid blue Sharpie below the barrel's header, along with "HOF 1991." A COA from PSA/DNA (#U69523) accompanies this item.
