Maris, a two-time American League MVP, set the single-season home run record in 1961, hitting his 61st homer of the year on the final day of the season to unseat Babe Ruth from the top spot. Maris has signed this photograph in black pen, inscribing “To Craig Lots of Luck” above his distinctive signature. This photograph shows Maris during spring training, wearing his Yankees home whites and framed by an attractive row of palm trees in the background.
