Mitchell and Ness flannel Brooklyn Dodger home jersey bearing a bold post-accident signature of Hall of Famer Roy Campanella. Campanella was one of the cornerstones for the great Dodger team that beat the Yankees in the 1955 World Series. Campy won the National League MVP award in 1951, '53 and '55. Campanella's career was tragically cut short in January of 1958 when he was involved in a car accident which left him paralyzed from the shoulders down. He eventually regained most of the use of his hands and arms, but remained in a wheel chair the rest of his life. Campy was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969, following Jackie Robinson as just the second African American player to be enshrined in Cooperstown. A full JSA COA accompanies this jersey.
