In 1948, Satchel Paige became the oldest rookie in MLB history when he pitched for the Cleveland Indians at the age of 42. While his career in the Major Leagues did not last long, he continued pitching for the better part of four decades before retiring in 1966. Ed Charles was a third baseman for the Kansas City Athletics and New York Mets, while Keith Miller was an infielder/outfielder for the New York Mets and Kansas City Royals from 1987 – 1995.
All three of these players have signed their name on this “OFFICIAL LEAGUE” cream colored baseball. Paige signed his name in blue pen “From Satchel Paige” on the side panel, with Charles’ signature on the opposite side panel with the inscription “To Mora, Best Regards Ed Charles N.Y. Mets”. Miller’s signature appears in black marker on a side pane. This multi-signed toned baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (T54994).
