The first player ever selected by the WNBA, three–time Olympic Gold Medalist and Three-time WNBA MVP, Sheryl Swoopes is considered one of the top-10 players in WNBA history. She now coaches women’s basketball for Loyola University Chicago.
This lot contains a replica Women’s USA Basketball Olympic jersey in red, with blue side piping and light-blue and white stars, with white “USA” and the number “7” on the front. On the reverse is appliqué “Swoopes” and “7.”
Swoopes signed her name in black Sharpie (grade 7 – 8) and inscribed “#7” above and to the right of the “USA” script on the front.
The Champion Apparel woven tag, size L, is barely stitched to the left hip area. The USA basketball and Champion logos are stitched to the right shoulder strap.
A red-white-blue Mohinder City Rock basketball has been signed by Swoopes in vivid black Sharpie (grade 7) and inscribed “#7 USA” on a white panel below the basketball’s logo.
An unused ticket to the April 13, 1996 “Sisterhood of Hoop” Nike/WBCA Girls High School All-America Game at the Palestra in Philadelphia, Pa. is included.
The lot is contained in a blue, Nike Team USA equipment bag. “Kable” is inked onto the bottom of the “S” in USA on the bag’s side.
