Hall of Famer Stan Musial signed his name in blue marker on the barrel of the Cooperstown Bat Co’s Stadium Series commemorative Sportsman’s Park bat. The bat’s inscription reads: “Sportsman’s Park Browns: April 14, 1909-Sept.27, 1953 Cardinals: July 1, 1920 – May 8, 1966 First used in 1866, “Bill Veeck’s House” had 4 major renovations and a name change before closing in 1966. In the park, George Sisler batted .420; the Cardinals’ Rogers Hornsby set a record BA of .424; Ken Williams was the first AL hitter to get 3 HR in a game; Stan Musial had a 5 HR double-header in ’54. Home plate was flown to Busch Memorial Stadium after the last game.” This bat comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (U69521).
