Stan Musial and Albert Pujols are two of the most important players in St. Louis Cardinals history. Musial was the franchise cornerstone in the post-WWII era, leading the Cardinals to three World Series championships. During his illustrious 22-year career, Musial played in 24 All-Star games (as two games were played each year from 1959-1962) and accumulated 3,630 hits. A Hall of Fame inductee in 1969, Musial finished his career with 475 home runs.
A more recent star, Albert Pujols began his MLB career in 2001. An immediate impact player, Pujols hit 37 home runs and knocked in 130 runs on his way to an All-Star birth and the NL Rookie of the Year award in 2001. Pujols’ production only increased from then on, as he currently has 2,825 career hits and 591 home runs for the Cardinals and the Los Angeles Angels. Pujols won three NL MVP awards and led the Cardinals to two more World Series titles.
This 16 x 20 inch photograph shows Musial and Pujols in their batting stances in front of Busch Stadium, the home of the Cardinals. Musial and Pujols each signed this photograph in blue Sharpie. This item comes with a Musial COA (FL1744) and a PSA/DNA LOA (AB13660).
