Presented is a painting by artist Arthur K. Miller of baseball Hall of Famer Ted Williams. As arguably one of the greatest hitters ever, Williams was known for a plethora of accomplishments throughout his career such as being a 17-time all-star, two-time recipient of the American League MVP, and a two-time Triple Crown winner, while also serving his country in WWII and Korea.
This painting captures Williams as he embarked on a new journey in his career, having played for the Boston Red Sox, he became a manager for the Washington Senators which caused a renewed spark in interest in the team. Ted is seen in his new uniform, while the sky blue background highlights his character. Miller’s signature is written on the top left hand corner in white ink. Inscribed in the back of the painting is “Ted Williams, Washington Senators, 1969 2007”, with his signature written twice next to it. This piece stands 20 ½ x 13 ½ inches framed.
