Presented is a limited edition illustrated print of Baseball Hall of Famer Ted Williams, signed by the “Splendid Splinter” in black marker in the lower right corner. Williams played his entire 19-year Major League Baseball career as a left fielder for the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1960; his career was interrupted only by mandatory military service during World War II and the Korean War. He is regarded as one of the greatest hitters in baseball history. Williams was a 19-time All-Star, a two-time recipient of the American League Most Valuable Player Award.
Williams is depicted in a gray graphite pencil illustration kneeling in the on-deck circle with two bats across his right leg in his right hand, in his home Boston Red Sox uniform. Below Williams signature is the inscription “59/99” in gray graphite pencil. The 16 x 20-inch print is mounted in a black paper matte with white borders and displayed in a 25 x 29-inch silver wood and glass frame. This item comes with a COA from Ted Williams Family Enterprises, Ltd. It has also been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
