Ted Williams, one of the best pure hitters in baseball history, won six batting titles during his 19-season career with the Red Sox. None was more important than 1941, when Williams became the last player to eclipse a .400 batting average. Williams’ career accolades are myriad, and include two MVP awards, two Triple Crowns, and a staggering 19 All-Star appearances. In 1966, Williams was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. This offered photograph was taken by famed photographer George Burke and depicts a young Ted Williams in his road Boston Red Sox uniform, seated with a brick wall in the background. Williams has signed his name in bold blue marker across the center and this autographed photo has been authenticated and encapsulated by Beckett Authentication (12017344) with an autograph grade of MINT 9.
