The 28th Yankee honored with a plaque in Yankee Stadium’s Monument Park, Tino Martinez made his mark with the Yankees most recent Dynasty team playing in five World Series during his seven year stint in the Bronx from 1996-2001. Martinez knocked 192 of his 339 career home runs with the Yankees.
This un-cracked 34-inch, 31.4-ounce, Louisville Slugger M356 model bat (labeling period 1999) exhibits evidence of heavy use with a concentrated smattering of ball marks, stitch impressions, blue-ink transfers, cleat marks and white scuffs around the right and back barrel just beneath his silver engraved facsimile signature. The impression of a weighted donut can also be seen further down the barrel with a thick coating of pine tar on the upper handle extending into the label and smaller amount on the lower handle. Martinez number “24” is written on the knob end in fading silver marker; comes with PSA/DNA LOA certification #1B07829 and Steiner Sports hologram affixed to the front barrel.
