Offered here is a Touchdown Club NFL American Conference Player of the Year Timmie Award, presented to Ken Anderson in recognition of his wonderful 1981 season as quarterback of the Cincinnati Bengals. Anderson recorded 3,754 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and a 98.4 QB rating (all career-highs) in 1981, while leading the Bengals to a 12-4 record and a trip to the Super Bowl. The base of this award features a football reading “TOUCHDOWN CLUB of WASHINGTON, D.C.” above the display of “TIMMIE AWARD”. A larger plate reads “THE TIMMIE AWARD TO THE NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE YEAR – AMERICAN CONFERENCE PRESENTED IN MEMORY OF WAYNE MILLNER”, while a smaller plate at the bottom displays “KEN ANDERSON CINNCINNATI BENGALS”. Atop the base is a metal figure of a kid – measuring 7 ½ x 7 ½ inches and 17 inches tall, playing football, running with the ball. He is wearing an old-time uniform (# 3 on his jersey), complete with leather helmet and strap. The underneath of the base has been signed in black by Anderson. This item includes an Anderson LOA.
