     Offered is a pencil drawing of Baseball Hall of Famer Tris Speaker by an unknown artist, signed in blue pen by Speaker in the center of the drawing. The 9 ¼ x 13 ½ inch white sheet of paper (two sheets pieced together with the bottom fourth more off-white in color) has an illustration of speaker swinging a bat as the central image, with the legend “Tris Speaker of the Cleveland Indians” in script in pencil on the lower left corner. Considered one of the best offensive and defensive center fielders in the history of Major League Baseball, Speaker compiled a career batting average of .345 (6th all-time). His 792 career doubles represent an MLB career record. His 3,514 hits are fifth in the all-time hits list. Speaker was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1937. This item is accompanied by a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A03416).
