Arguably the greatest running back in NFL history, Walter Payton used to hold almost every NFL rushing record imaginable. His record of 16,726 rushing yards was only broken recently by Emmitt Smith. “Sweetness” set the standard for rushing excellence, and was named to the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time team as a result. Payton won Super Bowl XX with the Chicago Bears and racked up individual accolades as well. Payton was a two-time MVP and a nine-time Pro-Bowler during his 12-year career with the Bears. His performance on the field earned him a spot in the NFL Hall of Fame. Today, the Walter Payton Man of the Year award is presented to the NFL player who most exemplifies Payton’s humanitarian legacy.
The item offered here is a signed photograph of Payton in a display ringed by 12 Walter Payton football cards. Payton signed the photograph in blue sharpie. The 32x39 inch framed display is titled “A Legend Among Us” and features a small plaque detailing some of Payton’s career accomplishments. It is numbered 213 of 234 and this beautiful display is a must have for any Chicago fan. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (AC04483).
