Presented here is a signed photograph of Willie Mays making “The Catch” in Game 1 of the 1954 World Series against the Cleveland Indians. Mays’ incredible defensive effort in the top of the eighth inning off Vic Wertz’s bomb preserved the 2-2 score, with the Giants clinching a victory in the 10th inning of the game. Mays and the Giants went on to win the World Series in four games over a deflated Indians team. Mays signed this 16 x 20 inch photograph in black marker. This item, which comes in a 25 x 21 inch framed display, is accompanied by a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY (H82457).
