George Sisler was one of the greatest first basemen of the early 20th century, amassing 2,812 hits in a career that spanned from 1915 to 1930. Sisler hit over .400 twice, including during his 1929 American League MVP season, when he hit .420, with eight homers, 105 RBI, and an MLB-best 51 stolen bases. Sisler was an early entrant to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, earning is induction in 1939 with 85.8% of the vote. His signature is written in black pen on a cut that has been affixed to the first page of this hard cover book. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
