With a pair of Cy Young awards already to his name, Dodgers’ southpaw Clayton Kershaw has established himself as arguably the top pitcher in baseball today at just 26 years old. The dominant left-hander sported this game-used, button-down road jersey during a 2000 season that saw Kershaw go 8-8 with a sterling 2.79 ERA in only his second season in the league. Kershaw signed the back of the jersey in bold, black Sharpie above his number “22” with an accompanying “2009” inscription. “Los Angeles” is scripted across the chest of the jersey in Dodger blue tackle twill, with Kershaw’s number “22” below in red tackle twill. “KERSHAW” appears across the back of the jersey with his number “22” below both in Dodger blue tackle twill. An “LA” logo is stitched on the left sleeve, while a grey strip tag appears on the inside back collar that reads “22 50 09,” indicating Kershaw’s number, jersey size and year. A “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag appears on the front of the jersey with size 50. A faded tag below reads “PROPERTY OF LOS ANGELES DODGERS 2009.” The game used jersey comes with a LOA from California Sports Investments and Mears. The signature is certified with a JSA LOA.
