Red Sox Hall of Famer Ted Williams launched 521 home runs during his illustrious career in Boston, but this All-Star Game-winning round-tripper at the 1941 Mid-Summer Classic in Detroit had to be one of his favorites. Williams signed in blue Sharpie this black-and-white photo, which shows him being greeted at home plate by Yankee legend Joe DiMaggio (No. 5). The framed item measures 14” wide by 11” high. Also in this lot is a color photo of Yankee great Mickey Mantle who is shown posing before a home game at Yankee Stadium. Mantle signed the portrait-like shot with a blue fine-point marker and added his uniform No. 7 just below his signature. The overall matted and framed item measures 13” wide by 16” high. Both framed photos come with LOAs from PSA/DNA.
