vCal Ripken Jr. wore this Baltimore Orioles home jersey in 1995, the year he broke Lou Gehrig’s record for most consecutive games played in Major League Baseball! Ripken made his 13th All-Star Game in 1995, finishing the season with a .262 average, 17 homers, 88 RBI, and 33 doubles for Phil Regan’s Orioles. Ripken surpassed Gehrig at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on September 6th, when he started his 2,131st consecutive game. The lifelong Oriole was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007.

This white Orioles home jersey features “Orioles” sewn across the chest in black and orange tackle twill, with Ripken’s number “8” sewn below in orange and black tackle twill. “RIPKEN” and a second “8” are sewn on the back of the jersey in black and orange tackle twill, with “RIPKEN” sewn over a matching white nameplate. An Orioles logo patch is sewn on the left sleeve. A Russell Athletic size “48” tag and a “95” tag are sewn on the front left tail. This comes directly from the personal collection of Cal Ripken, Jr. with a signed LOA from Cal accompanying this game used jersey.
