Lot #490: 1970 Lou Holtz William & Mary Southern Conference Championship Pendant (Holtz LOA)

Hall of Fame college coach Lou Holtz got his first head coaching job at William & Mary and in his second season at the helm, guided the Indians (now named Tribe) to the Southern Conference title. By winning the Southern Conference title, William & Mary played Toledo in the Tangerine Bowl. The Indians finished the conference with a 3-1 record. Presented here is a pendant that was presented to coach Holtz for winning the Southern Conference title. Measuring ½ x ¾-inches, this 10 karat gold pendant has dark green stone in the center with. “W & M” diagonally in gold along the center. The outside has “SOUTHERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS” in raised lettering. The back has stamped “R10K”. This pendant is in good overall condition with some surface wear and no chain attached. This comes with a LOA from Lou Holtz and 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Holtz Charitable Foundation, Inc.
