Presented is a 1973 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) championship football trophy pendant from the collection of College Football Hall of Fame coaching legend Lou Holtz. The 10 carat gold football-shaped pendant features raised "stitches" on the front, with the raised letter legend "Atlantic Coast Conference Champions 1973" on the front. On the reverse, the name "Charles Young" is engraved. On the underside is the engraved maker's mark. Holtz was head coach at North Carolina State University from 1972 to 1975, fresh off his successful stint at William & Mary. He had a 33–12–3 record in four seasons. Holtz's first three teams achieved final Top 20 rankings, including a final Top 10 finish in the 1974 Coaches Poll. His 1973 team won the ACC Championship. Under Holtz's direction the Wolfpack played in four bowl games, going 2–1–1.
