Jackson came up with Royals in 1986 and would be a dominant player in the league until his unfortunate injury playing football with the Los Angeles Raiders. Carlton pitched 8 scoreless innings in the September 2nd game to earn the victory. Presented here is a ticket stub from that September 2nd game. “Kansas City Royals” is printed in white on a blue background on the top with a yellow mid-section that has “CHICAGO WHITE SOX NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES TUE. 7:35 P.M.
