Lot #15: 1998 Dick Williams Signed Microsoft Baseball 3D Promotional Jersey (Beckett)

Description

Presented here is promotional Microsoft Baseball 3D jersey signed by Hall of Fame manager Dick Williams. Williams won two World Series with the Oakland Athletics in 1972 and 1973, before differences with temperamental owner Charlie Finley prompted Williams’ unexpected resignation. Williams captured two other pennants, one in 1967 with the “Impossible Dream” Boston Red Sox, and a final one in 1984 with the San Diego Padres. Williams won 1,571 games in his managerial career, and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008.

This gray, button down jersey has “Microsoft Baseball 3D 1998 Edition” sewn on the chest in navy blue and red tackle twill. “WILLIAMS” is sewn across the back shoulders in red tackle twill, and Williams’ number “23” is sewn on the back in navy blue and red tackle twill. Williams has signed the chest of this jersey in blue marker, writing “Best Wishes” and “July 22nd 1998” in addition to his signature.
