Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston is the only person to manage the Dodgers both in Brooklyn and in Los Angeles in a managerial career that spanned 23 seasons. Alston led the Dodgers to four World Series titles under his leadership, including the only World Series title while the team was in Brooklyn in 1955. Alston won three more World Series titles when the team moved out west (1959, 1963 and 1965) and retired following the 1976 season.

This offered home button-down size 44 Rawlings white flannel was worn by Alston during the 1965 season with the Dodgers in Los Angeles – which was the last season he led them to a World Series title. The iconic “Dodgers” with the paraph is sewn across the chest in blue felt with Alston’s number “24” sewn on in red felt block numbering on the center left chest. The red Rawlings size 44 tag is sewn on the lower left front tail. The jersey front was designed with seven buttons, but this jersey is missing the bottom button. The back of the jersey has “24” sewn on in blue belt block numbering. The wash tag and the “SET 1 1965” flag are sewn on the inside and the sleeves were made shorter as was custom during this era with vented holes in the underarms. The jersey displays moderate use with some small stains, but is otherwise excellent condition. This jersey comes with a LOA from Sports Investors (181619A1) for the game use.
