Lot #3619: 1977 Ronald Reagan Signed Dinner Program (Beckett)

Description

Presented is a 1977 Ronald Reagan signed dinner program. The late U.S. President signed this one-page political fundraising dinner program across the front center in black pen. Reagan, at that time the former two-term Governor of California and a former motion picture and television actor, had mounted his first campaign for the presidency in 1976, losing the Republican nomination to President Gerald Ford, who then lost the general election to Jimmy Carter. The "Revival "77" Dinner Program" was for a Republican party fundraiser in Ohio, and is printed in blue type on light yellow paper. Reagan is listed as the primary speaker, and cited as "Governor Ronald Reagan". Reagan was the 40th president of the United States from 1981 to 1989 and became a highly influential voice of modern conservatism. Prior to his presidency, he was a Hollywood movie actor and union leader, before serving as the 33rd governor of California from 1967 to 1975. This item comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA13845).
