The Famed and lovable Brooklyn Dodgers played their home game in cozy Ebbets Field, named after their former owner Charles Ebbets and hosted the team from 1913 to their move out west in 1957. It was in the middle of their dominant playing years in 1952 when this seating diagram was produced. This 16 x 22 inch diagram has the “lower tier” on one side and the “upper tier” on the second side. The words “BROOKLYN BASEBALL CLUB SEATING DIAGRAM OF EBBETS FIELD” are printed on each side, and it appears every one of the 35,000 seats is accounted. The lower corner of the lower tier side has “J. H.V. 1952”. There are four vertical folds, some edge wear and moderate toning in some portions, which does not detract, but actually enhances the feel this piece of New York sports history displays.

      This item is likely one-of-a-kind and comes with a letter of provenance from the long time owner, who describes the method he acquired the item…which was directly from Alan “Mr. Mint” Rosen at a sports card show in Washington State. This diagram was part of a large Brooklyn Dodgers collection once owned by a tavern owner in an area of New York where many of the Dodgers players lived and frequented. This is a historic piece of Stadium memorabilia from a very popular venue for Major League baseball in the 1950s.
